SHOPPING TIPS FOR: Computers + ADD YOUR OWN TIP
- When shopping for computers, you should always make sure to get the extended warranty. It can be a lifesaver. Computer problems happen all the time, and it can save you lots of money in the long run if you can have it fixed for cheap as opposed to having to spend a lot, or even buy a new computer.
When shopping for a new computer, focus on what you need the computer to do, not necessarily all the fancy (and expensive!) features the salesman may be suggesting at the store. Also be sure to inquire about all of the appropriate accessories, such as keyboards, speakers, a mouse, printer, power cords, hard drive back-ups, etc.
- When making a decision on what type of computer you should buy, you should first decide what type of things you will want to do on it. Will you use it to mainly surf the web, play play games, or will it be for business? These types of questions will point you to the kind of system that is best for you. Check with people you know and read reviews in computer magazines and on line. Then determine how much you are willing to pay. After that, start shopping, take your time, and hold out for the best deal. With a little research you can purchase a computer system that you can afford and will satisfy your requirements.
